At no point does Tweet Moodifier request personally-identifiable information from users (beyond their Twitter handles). Users who authorize Tweet Moodifier to use Twitter authentication for single-sign on purposes may revoke access at any time. All collected data will be retained indefinitely, even after users complete their use of the tool.
All data collected by Tweet Moodifier is used for research purposes. The objective of Tweet Moodifier's research is to better-understand how users perceive and engage with emotional polarization on social media platforms like Twitter. Tweet Moodifier may publish research findings in a wide range of academic and/or mainstream media outlets. All findings will present aggregate results and will preserve the anonymity of individual Tweet Moodifier and Twitter users. If users wish to receive a copy of Tweet Moodifier’s research publications, or withdraw their use data from these findings, they can email firstname.lastname@example.org with the relevant request.
Some Twitter users (private/protected users) may have decided to make their Tweets only visible to their Twitter followers. Hence, Tweet Moodifier will not read or evaluate emotions of protected Tweets. This extension will check whether the users are public or private before proceeding to read their content.
